Current Exhibits at the High Museum of Art

Now is the perfect time to visit the High Museum of Art. Currently, the Museum is hosting the exhibit, The First Emperor. The exhibit is fascinating and is a great example of art and history. The exhibit is specifically focused on the excavation of China's First Emperor's, Qin Shi Huangdi, tomb. Quin Shi Huangdi is considered the "man that created China." Many of the historical pieces found are the terracotta soldiers (approximately 1,000), tiles, and weapons. Unfortunately, the museum's exhibit is closing soon (April 2009). I highly recommend that you all go to this exhibit before it leaves Atlanta.

Also, the museum has an exhibit on the Louvre. If you have never been to Paris, this will be a perfect opportunity to see beautiful paintings and sculptures. The Louvre is a beautiful museum that holds some of the world's greatest paintings. I highly recommend that those that are near the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, take advantage of this opportunity. This exhibit stays until September 2009.

In general, I highly recommend that visitors of Atlanta make a point to visit the High Museum. It has fascinating artwork and many interesting exhibits.

If you went to the First Emperor exhibit, let me know your opinion on the exhibit! Also, if you have gone to the Louvre exhibit, give me your opinion!!!
